Our story
The Minnesota Obesity Society (MNOS) was founded in December 2022 by a small group of Obesity Medicine professionals who wanted to collaborate and build a medical network of like-minded individuals in the region. In 2023, MNOS registered with the State of Minnesota as a non-profit. In 2024, MNOS became a local affiliate of the Obesity Medical Association, the national leader in obesity medicine education.
Our mission is to collaborate and advocate with multi-disciplinary obesity medicine professionals to create a supportive network, foster an environment of education and promote evidence-based practices among the medical community regarding the chronic multifactorial disease of obesity.
